<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled culture medium, obtained by incorporating L- arginine within a specific high concentration range as one component of an amino acid component in a complete culture medium for cultivating an animal cell and applicable to practical use without requiring blood serum albumin component. CONSTITUTION:A serum-free culture medium obtained by incorporating L- arginine in an amount of >about 1,000mg/l complete culture medium - <about 4,500mg/l complete culture medium concentration in the complete culture medium containing (A) a basic culture medium for cultivating an animal cell, (B) insulin and/or transferring, (C) ethanolamine, (D) mercaptoethanol and (E) a selenite. Thereby, the growth and multiplication of human/human hybridoma are satisfactorily and smoothly carried out and the antibody productivity having practicality is also exhibited.</p> |
