Piston/cylinder unit actuated by pressure medium and having a piston which carries one or more permanent magnets. The permanent magnets project in a radial direction from the piston and are guided in a longitudinal groove (12) of the cylinder (1) so that they serve as an anti-rotation locking means for the piston. Sensors (5) sensitive to a magnetic field are arranged radially opposite the longitudinal groove (12) on the periphery (4) of the cylinder (1). The sensors (5), as limit switches, can affect among other things a control unit (11) which is sunk in the cylinder shell and is connected to working spaces of the cylinder via lines (18) integrated in the wall. The limit switches are displaceable on a rail-shaped holding device (6). Furthermore, a magnetic displacement gauge is provided which works according to the principle of the transit-time measurement of a travelling wave excited by magnetostriction. …<IMAGE>… |
