This hydraulically controlled clutch is of the type comprising, in a hollow body 10, a piston 35, which is mounted so as to move axially between an engagement position and a disengagement position, and a lubrication and/or cooling circuit 70, which especially serves the friction discs 44. According to the invention, on the supply of the lubrication and/or cooling circuit 70 there are provided shut-off means 75 which, under the control of the piston 35, are able to isolate the said lubrication and/or cooling circuit 70 from the said supply when the said piston 35 is in the disengagement position.
