The part-webs which, preferentially, have been produced by longitudinal slitting over a former are fed over separate folding-blade cylinders, each of which is equipped with needle pins and to each of which a cutting cylinder is assigned, to a common folding-jaw cylinder. From this, the printed products are fed in a slightly overlapped condition to a collecting unit positioned before the third fold (normally, the second longitudinal fold) and superimposed in a predetermined order. They may then be jointly folded once more, longitudinally or cross-wise as desired. In a different operating mode, the individual printed products are separated in such a way that they can be fed to two third-fold stations, making delivery of finished work to two stacking positions possible. <IMAGE> |
