PURPOSE:To obtain a sealing glass capable of sealing electronic parts at a low temperature as low as <=400 deg.C and having good sealing characteristics, by adjusting the chemical composition of glass to a composition consisting of specific amounts of B2O3, PbO, Bi2O3 and BaO. CONSTITUTION:Glass for low-temperature sealing obtained by adjusting the chemical composition thereof to 10-35wt% B2O3, 25-70wt% PbO, 1-30wt% Bi2O3 and 1-10wt% BaO. >=0.1wt% fluoride may be introduced into the glass of the above-mentioned composition. For example, when the sealing glass is used for sealing ceramic packages of very large scale integration, a mixture obtained by mixing the glass with lead titanate at 0.3:1 ratio of the glass to the lead titanate is capable of sealing electronic parts at a temperature as low as <=400 deg.C. |
