This rucksack is of the type comprising a so-called floating belt. The link between the body of the sack 1 and its belt 2 is made, on the one hand, by means of two lateral straps 11 which connect the belt to the anchoring zone 6 of the lower ends of the two shoulder straps 3 on the sack, and, on the other hand, by means of a semi-rigid plate 16 whose upper part is housed in a gusset 14 which is provided in the lower part of the back of the sack 1, above the belt 2, and is open at the bottom and closed at the top, the lower part of the same plate 16 being housed in a gusset 15 which is provided in the rear face of the belt 2 and is closed at the bottom and open at the top, this plate 16 having the dual effect of achieving the link between the sack 1 and the belt 2 and of at least partially transferring the load of the sack to the belt. <IMAGE>
