A bracket anchor for vertically adjustably securing facing masonrywork is composed of a load-bearing piece 1 for fastening the bracket anchor, by means of a hammer-head screw 2, on an anchor rail 18, of an extension 4 which is fixedly connected to the load-bearing piece 1 and has a bracket plate 5, and of a lower supporting plate 6, the load-bearing piece 1 exhibiting, approximately at the spacing of the diameter of the screw shank 12, mutually parallel side walls 10, 11 and an upper web 12 which connects said side walls and has a threaded bore for an adjusting screw 3 which secures the vertical position of the hammer-head screw 2. According to the invention, the load-bearing piece 1 is configured as a closed hollow profile 10 to 13 comprising the two side walls 10, 11, the upper web 12 and a lower web 13 which connects the side walls 10, 11, the extension 4, which is provided with a straight upper side 21, being fixedly connected to the underside of the lower web 13 of the load-bearing piece 1 and, furthermore, a spacing d of approximately the thickness D of the lower supporting plate 6 being provided between the rear narrow edge 23 of the extension 4 and the rear narrow edges 24 of the side walls 10, 11 of the hollow profile 10 to 13 (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
