POSITIVE IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To form a sharp positive image by subjecting a sensitive material provided with a silver halide (AgX) emulsion layer into which internal latent image type AgX having a preliminarily unfogged surface is incorporated to image exposure then to heating, full surface exposure and development. CONSTITUTION:The sensitive material provided with the AgX emulsion layer into which the internal latent image type AgX having at least the unfogged surface is incorporated on a base is subjected to image exposure then to a heating stage, full surface exposing stage and developing stage by which the positive image is formed. The particles of the core/shell structure in which the conversion type AgX particles are used as a core and AgX is further coated thereon as a shell are preferably used as the internal latent image type AgX particles. The sensitive material subjected to image exposure is heated at, for example, 80-200 deg.C and is then subjected to full surface exposure. The exposed material is developed by using a surface developing soln. The sharp positive image is thereby easily formed.
