Stud welding apparatus

A stud welding apparatus for automatic work has an electric drive for conveying the stud into the stud holder. When the stud strikes the bottom, a sequence controller detects the rise in the current and sets in motion the stroke and welding operation in a time-controlled manner, after which the parts are returned automatically to their position of rest. The apparatus can process studs of different lengths without conversion.
