The invention relates to a device for transferring loading vessels, in particular containers and exchange containers, between different carrier vehicles, in particular railway freight wagons and road vehicles, having at least four support rollers which can be placed on the loading vessel and via which the loading vessel can be lifted by the respective carrier vehicle by means of carrier rails and lowered onto another carrier vehicle, the carrier rails being arranged laterally next to the respective lane and/or a rail section and are provided at the ends with run-on and run-off slopes. In order to be able to transfer between different carrier vehicles all the loading vessels with standardised fittings occurring in practice with little equipment outlay, each support roller is mounted rotatably on a support which can be attached to the loading vessel by means of a locking pin which engages in the preferably lateral opening of an attachment fitting arranged in a manner known per se on the loading vessel.
