PURPOSE:To improve the shelf stability of a silver halide photographic sensitive material by incorporating a specified compound having an indazole ring and a specified benzene compound having hydroxy groups into the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:Compounds represented by formulae I, II are incorporated into a silver halide photographic sensitive material. In the formulae, Q is an indazole or benzimidazole ring, each of Y<1> and Y<2> is H, an aliphatic or aromatic group, -COR or -SO2R (R is an aliphatic or aromatic group), X is halogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxy, hydroxy, cyano or nitro, m=0, 1 or 2, n=2 or 3, R<1> is H, halogen, an aliphatic or aromatic group, and R<2> is H, an aliphatic or aromatic group, carboxy, sulfone, alkoxycarbonyl or the like. Since the compounds represented by the formulae I, II are combinedly incorporated into the sensitive material, the shelf stability of the material is improved and fog can be reduced. |
