A process for separating C3+ hydrocarbons from natural gas is proposed in which the natural gas is cooled (8, 9) and partially condensed. Condensate formed in the process is separated in a separator (11) and by means of rectification (16) is split up into a product (29) containing C3+ hydrocarbons and a product (27) containing lighter components. Gas (17) drawn from the separator (11) is expanded (18) so as to perform work, and further condensate formed in the process is likewise separated (21) and passed to the rectification, while the non-condensed portion (25) is first warmed up against natural gas to be partially condensed in the upper region of the separator (11) in a heat exchange (12) with gaseous natural gas, and is then warmed up (9, 8) against natural gas to be partially condensed. <IMAGE>
