In a circuit arrangement for starting and operating a gas discharge lamp with higher frequency current, consisting of an electronic ballast unit connected to an input DC voltage source (2), the ballast unit having an electronic switching element (3) controlled by a control device (8), which switching element is connected in series with an inductive component (4) through which flows the lamp current, from which component a voltage can be picked off which is fed, via a rectifier (14) and a smoothing capacitor (16), to the control device, as the supply DC voltage, the first terminal of the smoothing capacitor (16) is connected via a first ohmic resistor (18) to a first pin of the input DC voltage source and its second terminal is connected via the lamp (5) to a second pin of the input DC voltage source. <IMAGE> |
