PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a device and to form an image of high quality by providing a solenoid at the periphery of a magnetic electrode for recording and producing a magnetic field between the tip part of the electrode and an insulating recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The solenoid 41 is arranged at the periphery of a stylus electrode 15 and a large magnetic field which extends from the electrode 15 to an insulating recording sheet 29 is produced with the electric signal of a controller 43. Magnetic toner 11 stuck uniformly on the sheet 29 by a roller developing device 5 is attracted upward in a recording area 27 toward the electrode 15 to form a chained conductive path and when the electrostatic force base upon the signal voltage of the controller 43 is larger than the magnetic force generated by the solenoid, the toner remains on the sheet 29 to form an image. Therefore, there is no magnetic field outside the solenoid and no lines of magnetic force are generated except at the facing part between the electrode and sheet, thereby forming the image of thigh quality by the small-sized device. |
