PURPOSE:To obtain a photochromic material having excellent durability and stability to heat and moisture, consisting essentially of an electron donating org. compd., a photoactive agent, a compd. contg. an oxyethylene group and a compd. contg. an alcoholic hydroxyl group. CONSTITUTION:1pt.wt. electron donating, coloring org. compd. (A), 0.01-100pts. wt. at least one photoactive agent (B) selected from (a) a sulfonium salt of formula I (wherein R1-3 are 4-13C arom. groups; Y is S, CH2, n is 0,1; X is ClO4<->, complex ion contg. halogen and B, P, Sb or As), (b) a phosphonium salt of formula II (wherein R4 is 1-8C alkyl, 5-13C arom. condensed ring structure), (c) an iodonium salt of formula III (wherein R5-6 are H, halogen, nitro, 1-4C alkyl) and (d) a triaryl sulfonium salt condensate, 0.01-100pts.wt. compd. (C) contg. an oxyethylene group and/or 0.01-100pts.wt. basic fine powder and 0.01-200pts.wt. compd. (D) contg. an alcoholic hydroxyl group are blended. |
