Securing of a seat cover by touch-and-close action

To secure a seat cover to a base using the touch-and-close action, the base forming part of the touch-and-close fastener (Velcro fastener) by virtue of its surface quality, it is proposed to use as the base a rubberised-hair mat, the inner edge of which is trimmed. The edge region of the cover, which forms the other part of the touch-and-close fastener and is provided with loops on the rear, is drawn round the inner edge of the rubberised-hair mat with prestress.
