摘要 |
PURPOSE:To eliminate the fluctuation in a light source and to realize a concn. meter for a scenting agent having the mobility to permit carrying of the meter by forming the iodine complex of the scenting agent of tetrahydrothiophene and performing two wavelength photometry in a UV region. CONSTITUTION:A gas to be tested is introduced through a conduit 5a into a transparent quartz tube 5 in which an iodine soln. is contained and the scenting agent THT (tetrahydrothiophene) incorporated into the gas is brought into reaction with iodine to form an iodine-THT complex. The instantaneously emitted light from a xenon lamp 1 passes through the transparent tube 5 and is split by a dichroic mirror 6. The split light are detected by photoelectric elements 8, 10 through an interference filter 7 permitting transmission of 308nm light and interference filter 9 permitting transmission of 396nm wavelength. A microcomputer 11 determines the difference between the outputs from the elements 8, 10, calculates the concn. of THT from the differential value thereof and displays the value on a display device 12. The iodine-THT complex absorbs 308nm light but does not absorb 396nm light. |
