The invention relates to a theft protection system for a car radio, which is of simple structure, can therefore be produced cheaply and prevents the car radio from being pulled out of the installation shaft. To this end, the theft protection system has a plate which is to be fixedly connected to the car body, has a slot and has a guide piece adjacent to the slot on both of its sides respectively, which guide pieces extend perpendicularly to the plane of the plate and have aligned openings, a bow being provided which is to be fastened to the car radio and can be pushed between the guide pieces through the slot and it being possible to push a bolt through the openings and the bow.
