Centrifuge rotor

A centrifuge rotor has a lower component (3) with downwardly widening truncated cone-shaped wall and an essentially correspondingly directed outer component (15). The lower component (3) has receptacles (8) running downwards and outwards in the conical direction, of the vessels which are open at the top and outwards at the upper sides. The vessels are inserted laterally into the receptacles from outside when the rotor is open and are guided laterally. The lateral openings (10) are covered by the outer component (15) in an area in which the wall part of the vessels which lies furthest on the outside is located. The outer component (15) forms at the same time, as upper component, a cover (20) of the upper end of the vessels and of the lower component. <IMAGE>
