PURPOSE:To shift optionally a telephone set in a system by updating and controlling successively the corresponding relation of the physical connecting position information of individual telephone sets and the terminal number inherent to the individual telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:Telephone sets KT11, 20 and 21 connected by extension buses BUS 1 and 2 to a main device ME are equipped with a telephone sent terminal number holding circuit TENR, a micro processor KTP, a control channel number DCR, a call channel number holding circuit BCR and a transmitting control circuit TRC. The main device ME is equipped with a bus control circuit BCC, a terminal number identifying table TENT, a time slot control table DCT for a control signal, a time slot control table BCT for a calling signal and a terminal accommodating position number converting table NXT. Thus, the accommodating position and the terminal number information can be successively transmitted and received between respective terminals and the main device.
