PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of burr and to prevent internal short circuit during electrode assembly by widening the pressing area of an ultrasonic horn so as to be able to sufficiently cover the whole welding part of a current collecting tab. CONSTITUTION:A tongue-like nickel current collecting tab 2 is placed on an exposed substrate 3a of a nickel fiber sinter 3, and pressed from the upper part with an ultrasonic horn 1, then horizontal ultrasonic vibration is applied to the current collecting tab to weld to the sinter. The pressing area 1a of the ultrasonic horn 1 is widened so as to be able to sufficiently cover the current correcting tab 2a. The bonded area 2a of the current collecting tab 2 is formed over the whole area and the edge of the tab 2 is also completely welded and no burr is produced by welding. |
