PURPOSE:To obtain an equipment fault diagnostic device which can diagnose a fault even when there is an event in which a fault is generated for the first time by plural causes, by adopting an average of an accuracy or the minimum value or the geometric product of each equipment fault for constituting the cause as an accuracy of the cause. CONSTITUTION:When indications of a fault are inputted from an input device 1, a cause searching program 4a is called to an operation processor 3, and a search for the cause is executed, based on a causal relation 5a. When a cause candidate is determined, subsequently, an indication searching program 4c is called and an estimation of the indications is performed. If new indications except input indications are estimated, an observation request is displayed on an input/output dice 1 by a screen display program 4c. When calculating an accuracy given to the cause candidate, an accuracy evaluating program 4b is called to the operation processor 3 and the calculation is executed, based on a fault probability 5c and a probability/accuracy conversion table 5d. In this way, even when a fault is generated for the first time by the cause of a fault of plural equipment, whose diagnosis has been impossible by a conventional diagnostic method, the diagnosis can be executed. |
