PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus easy to manufacture and holding high emitting stability even to the change in temp., by arranging two or more heat generators in opposed relation to one slit like emitting port. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 10 having a slit-like emitting port 2 provided thereto is opposed to a heat generator substrate constituted by providing heat generators 7-1-7-5 each consisting of a heat-generating resistor layer 14 and an electrode layer 13 to a substrate 15 and forming a protective layer 12 thereto and a recording liquid 11 is supplied to the gap between both substrates. The heat generators 7-1-7-5 are opposed to the emitting port 2 and, for example, by selectively conducting the heat generator 7-3, the recording liquid is emitted from the part opposed to the heat generator 7-3 of the emitting port 2. Because the slit-like emitting port 2 contains the parts opposed to the heat generators and further formed long, the positional shift of the heat generators and the emitting port in the longitudinal direction of the emitting port exerts no effect on the emission of the recording liquid. The heat generators contain the width of the emitting port 2 in the width direction of the emitting port 2 and is not largely affected by the positional shift of the emitting port and the heat generators with respect to the width direction of the emitting port. |
