The method for correlating negatives with processing envelopes in photographic laboratories, consists in the steps of joining the films (3) together as they are extracted from the corresponding processing envelope (1) by a tape (4) which has been progressively prenumbered in machine-readable code, reading the number printed on the tape portion (4 min ) used for each joint, and printing it in machine-readable code on the relative processing envelope (1).
