PURPOSE:To obtain the solar battery having high flexibility and high mechanical strength by a method wherein a plate, formed by press-bonding a metal plate having a high heat-resisting property and a high coefficient of elasticity on an Al plate and by forming an oxided insulating layer on the surface of the Al plate, is used as the substrate for an amorphous Si solar battery. CONSTITUTION:After an Al thin plate 1b and a stainless steel 1a are press- bonded an insulating layer 1c is formed by oxidizing the surface of the Al thin plate, and a composite substate 1 is formed. A metal electrode 2 of the prescribed pattern, an morphous Si layer 3, a transparent electrode 4 of the prescribed pattern, a positive terminal part 4a, and a negative terminal part 4b are formed on the composite substrate 1, and an amorphous Si solar battery is formed. As a result, the stainless steel 1a does not become soft with heat even when it is heated in its manufacturing process, and the mechanical strength such as elastic strength and the like of the substrate 1 can be maintained on the whole. |
