PURPOSE:To prevent much toner from falling on a developing roll and to transfer an image having no fault onto a form by providing a member which presses toner sticking on the internal surface of the developing roll oppositly to the peripheral surface of the developing roll. CONSTITUTION:A rod 11 is expanded unless development is carried out to bring the peripheral surface 10a of a toner receiving member 10 into contact with a toner thin layer on the developing roll 2. The rod 11 is shortened during the development to move the member 10 away from the roll 2. In this state, if toner clouds are produced and toner scattering in air sticks on the peripheral surface 10a, the sticking toner is scraped off because of rubbing against the toner thin layer when the rod 11 is extended next and the member 10 contacts the toner thin layer on the roll 2. |
