A plate heat exchanger for cooling lubricating oil in internal combustion engines comprises a plurality of superimposed, spaced- apart flattened conduits 2 each formed by two superimposed plates 7 and 8 welded together around their edges, each conduit having, in each plate thereof, an inlet and an outlet opening, the inlet openings together defining, in the heat exchanger an inlet duct and the output openings together defining an outlet duct. Each plate 7 or 8 has extending from the rim of at least one of its openings a respective attachment member 14, in the form of an integral tubular member having notches 15 therearound defining lugs 16 between the notches. Each attachment member 14 extends to within the attachment member of an adjoining conduit 2 and is welded to the last mentioned attachment member. <IMAGE> |
