PURPOSE:To attain full duplex communication with one optical fiber by providing a transmission and reception optical fiber bundle between a light emitting and receiving element and an optical fiber so as to receive an input light and send an output light. CONSTITUTION:Rays of light sent from a light emitting element 12 enter a fiber bundle 11a arranged oppositely and guided in a communication optical fiber 20. On the other hand, rays of light from the communication optical fiber 20 is made incident on the end 11c of the opposed fiber bundle 11 and a part is guided by the fiber bundle 11 and reaches a light receiving element 13. Optical fiber raw elements with minute diameter used in the fiber bundle 11 are used in the bent state. In order take an irradiated light from an end face 11c of the fiber bundle 11 into the communication fiber 20 efficiently, the fiber bundle structure matching the fiber bundle of the end face 11a guiding the light emission from the light emitting element 12 with the optical axis of the communication fiber 20 is adopted. Thus, the intake quantity of the light spread according to the numerical aperture of the fiber is increased and the efficiency is improved by 10dB with a gap of 1mm. |
