A pump supplies a plurality of consumers with pressure medium via in each case one directional control valve, a pressure balance for load-independent separation of the pump delivery quantity being provided between each branch line, branching off from the pump delivery line, and the directional control valve. In a control-pressure device common to all pressure balances, a control pressure passed on to all pressure balances is generated. The control signal is generated in a pressure transducer, which is acted upon by the pump pressure and the consumer pressure which is highest in each case. This signal is supplied to an amplifier as the actual value, and the pressure-regulating valve is driven in accordance with the difference between desired and actual value.
