In a solenoid valve, the magnet armature space is connected via a passage and a chamber to an insert and by a constriction to the valve housing space from which the low-pressure-side outlet holes lead off. The feeding back of pressure into the magnet armature space and the special design of the insert ensures retention of dirt particles, increases functioning ability and reduces the hysteresis of the valve. <IMAGE>
