<p>A polymeric flight element for attachment to a conveyor chain is disclosed as having a pair of side members positioned adjacent to two parallel sidebars of a chain link, two pins integral with the side members and extending through the chain link to attach the flight element to the link, a conveyor arm integral with and extending from each side member in a direction away from the chain link, and buttons integral with and projecting from each side member into openings in the sidebars at a distance from the conveyor arms and pins. The buttons carry a portion of the conveying force applied by the chain to the conveyor arms and resisting forces on the arms due to excessive obstructions.</p> |
