PURPOSE:To permit the reduction of data by hard ware processing by a method in which data are received with data deleted at a rate of at least one time of m-times for input data by using receiving clocks in which at least one of data is thinned out for every n-clocks and which has the same clock as that of the output clock. CONSTITUTION:In a data reducer, when the print width of input data is reduced to m/n times (m<n) for printing, by using a receiving clock CLK2 in which at least one data to be sent out of the first shift register 22 are thinned out for every n-times, data reduced by deleting at least one of m many input data are received and stored. In the system, the second register 23 and the second data memory 24, besides the clock CLK2, are used. In such a constitution, data can be reduced by hard ware processing and data D to be printed with an adequate scale factor can be reduced and printed without disturbing dot intervals. |
