<p>The rolling machine employed includes one pulse emitter (5) fitted on a break or support roller (1), and another (6) fitted on the roller shaft. It also incorporates an oscillator (OSC) with a fixed pulse frequency, a calculator (COUNT), and a memory (MEM) for the emitters. The difference calculation comprises a time difference computation between the time for one winding of the roll measured with the aid of the oscillator and pulse emitter on the roller shaft, and the time for rolling a material length corresp. to the roll peripheral length at the actual roll dia. calculated with the aid of the material speed obtained via the pulse emitter on the support roller. - Alternatively, the calculation involves the difference between the roll angle speed computed as the inverted value of the time for a roll winding, using the oscillator and angle speed for the outermost roll winding calculated as the inverted value of the time taken to roll up the outermost winding. A length difference calculation is also possible between the expected length of a given number of roll windings and the true length of the same number of windings.</p> |
