PURPOSE:To prevent a backlash, and to position a magnetic head having the excellent positional precision of a track by giving a rotor for a stepping motor micro-vibrations and stopping the rotor at the desired position of stoppage. CONSTITUTION:An interface and a stepping motor 22 are controlled by a micro- computer 23. Phase for stopping the stepping motor in the phase of a coil for the stepping motor 22 is excited in order to stop the stepping operation of the stepping motor 22 at a predetermined position in the control of the interface and the stepping motor. First phase and second phase are alternately excited repeatedly plural times at every fixed time as the state in which phase for stopping the stepping motor is excited is left as it is held. Accordingly, a rotor for the stepping motor is given micro-vibrations, thus stopping the stepping motor at the desired position of stoppage. |
