<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the misinsertion of the nonstandardized tape cassettes by opening a cover only when a tape cassette having such a size that can press plural lock parts is inserted. CONSTITUTION:A nonstandardized tape cassette 10 having its width smaller than the space B between right and left projections 5-1a and 5-3a is pressed toward an arrow head E in order to put it into a cassette inserting port 3. In this case, however, the port 3 is not opened since at least one of both projections is hooked to an upper cover 4. Then a standardized tape cassette 11 which has its width larger than the space B and its height approximately coincident with the size of the port 3 and should be used to this VTR deck is pressed toward an arrow head E against the port 3. In this case,the engagement is released between the hook faces of both projections 5-1a and 5-2a and the hook face of a hook hole 4a of the cover 4. Then the cover 4 is turned toward E.</p> |
