<p>PURPOSE:To decide a ruled line code with simple operation and to simplify the formation of ruled lines by adding four direction bits to the data structure of the ruled line code to show the extending direction of the ruled line. CONSTITUTION:An input processing part 8 decides an input of a cursor shift key, etc. provided at an input part 1. A cursor position detecting part 9 detects the cursor position of the text data 5, and a cursor position memory 10 reserves the cursor position. An upper character code reference part 6a refers to the character code on a character at the cursor position to decide a ruled line code. In the same way, the lower, left and right character codes are referred to respectively. A ruled line code memory 11 reserves the ruled line codes equivalent to a character to be written to the cursor position. When the character code referred to at the part 6a is equal to a ruled line code, the lower direction bit of the ruled line code is checked. When 1 is detected from said check, the upper direction bit of the ruled line code of the memory 11 is set at 1.</p> |
