<p>Improvements to the subject of patent No. 554.754 for "Cooling plant for thermomechanical treatment of wide steel products" from continuous casting and subsequent lamination, proceeding by maintaining the wide product in the final nip roll at a temperature of 1,150 degrees C - 900 degrees C, and after cooling by counter-current using a current in which the ratio of throughput (Q) to the length (l), Q/l <= 65 and the duration (te) of product subjection to the fluid flow being such that it satisfies 0.02 < te/d < 0.18 where (te) is in seconds and (d) is the diameter of the wide product in mm upon leaving the final nip roll.Applications in steel metallurgy.<IMAGE></p> |
