The tubular part (2) of the capsule is pref. metallic, and its external profiling is pronounced. The transformer (T) is completely moulded in a plastic material, and transmits heat principally to the tubular part. The gable parts (3,4) are of plastic, whilst the tubular part, when metallic, is of aluminium extruded profile. The external profiling of the tubular part comprises longitudinally arranged, projecting flanges (5), which effectively increase the surface area of the part. The flanges have a wave-form surface, viewed in cross-section, and incorporative longitudinal ridges. The tubular part incorporates internal fillets (7) which provide support for the transformer and possibly further components. Longitudinal external tracks on the part have in their cross-section fixture holes for screws used to fix the gable parts (3,4). |
