A mouldable polymer compsn. comprises 99-1 wt.% of a polyethersulphone (I) and 1-99 wt.% of a copolymer (II) derived from 50-60 mole % vinyl aromatic monomer (IIa) and 40-50 mole % of a maleimide monomer (IIb), and having a peak mol. wt. of 50,000-500,000. - (I) is poly(diphenyl ether sulphone), poly(diphenyl sulphone-diphenyl ether sulphone) copolymer, or poly(diphenyl sulphone-bisphenol A) copolymer (Ia), (pref. as described in US4108834; 4275186 and 4307222). (IIa) is styrene. (IIb) is N-substd.; N-phenylmaleimide is esp. suitable. (II) can be prepd. by bulk, continuous bulk, soln., or pref. suspension polymerisation.
