PURPOSE:To facilitate the changing-over between a cassette half with a safety lug and that without the lug, cause no lowering of dimensional accuracy for mounting a mold and prevent the decrease in quality of a molded part by a method wherein a mold portion to mold the safety lug is separated from the remaining portion and is at the same time made freely slidable on the mating surface of a movable mold or of a stationary mold. CONSTITUTION:One slide core 4, of which the portion facing to a cavity 3 forms the outer surface of the safety lug T of a cassette half, slides on a rail provided onto the mating surface 1a of a movable mold 1. In addition, the other slide core 4a has a structure having no portion of the cavity for the lug. When the changing-over between the slide cores 4 and 4a is intended, the slide cores 4 and 4a are pulled down by opening the mating surfaces 1a and 2a by a proper interval so as to disengage an engaging member. And, after that, the other slide cores 4 and 4a are mounted by reversing the above- mentioned procedure. Accordingly, even during the molding operation, the changing-over of the slide core can easily be done in the state that the mold is open by neither dismounting a mold from a molder nor disassembling the mold. |
