Machine for making puff pastry palmiers

A continuous puff-pastry roll is unrolled onto a conveyor belt, impregnated with sugar on both sides and cut lengthwise into bands. Each band is folded over at both margins and one half is then folded over the other. The rope formed, after lateral compression is cut into sections by a guillotine and these fall onto trays on another conveyor belt. The belts are synchronised with the mechanism for operating the guillotine and driven by a single reduction motor.
