PURPOSE:To make a pickup reach quickly a targeted address point by storing the action career of the pickup, and controlling in response to the stored career. At the same time, the part 4c turns off an auto-tracking circuit 3a and transmits a forward control signal to a radial transfer circuit 7b. As a result, an arm part 2 and a pickup 1 start to advance toward the center of a disk. This advancing action is continued until the next address information is read. When the next address information is read, this information is sent to a store part 4b. The part 4c compares the contents between a memory part 4a and the part 4b and at the same time reads out and discriminates the contents of the part 4d. Both memories 4d1 and 4d2 of the part 4d store the forward and backward modes respectively. A fine feed command part 4f outputs a fine feed command signal 4f0 in response to a question signal 4c0 to indicate a forward fine feed P. Then, the forward and backward feeds are carried out until a point F. Thus it is possible to shorten the arriving time at a desired address point. |
