PURPOSE:To converge a reflected light beam from a reflecting surface on a slit position and to utilize it by forming the reflecting surface of the rear part of a light source with two auxiliary elliptic reflecting mirrors which have the 1st common focal point at a light source position and the 2nd focal points near a curve forming the end side reflecting surface of a composite reflecting mirror respectively. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 2 is the composite mirror formed by combining four kinds of ellipses and two kinds of curves and two ellipses a1 and a2 on the end part side have the 1st focus F1 and F2 in common and differ in long diameter; and a light source is placed at the 1st focus F1 and the 2nd focus F2 is determined near a target convergence point P. Ellipses a3 and a4 forming auxiliary elliptic reflecting mirrors 2a and 2b positioned at the rear part of the light source 1 have the 1st focus at the same position as the 1st focus F1 of the ellipses a1 and a2, and the 2nd focuses F3 and F4 are close to the ellipse a1 forming the opposite surface of the reflecting mirror 2 at the end part side. Light beams reflected by the auxiliary elliptic reflecting mirrors 2a and 2b at the rear part of the light source 1 pass through the 2nd focuses F2 and F4 and are converged on near the target convergence point P. |
