PURPOSE:To ensure constant control of a reception signal level by using an error signal to a reference value of a signal relating to a peak of a correlation output as a level control signal. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse CP1 used for generating an M series code at the transmission side is generated by a power synchronizing clock generating circuit 13 at the reception side, and fed to an M series code generating circuit 14 while the phase of the clock pulse CP1 is being fluctuated. Then the M series code for level control whose phase is fluctuated by the same code pattern as the modulation M series code is generated, a correlation output obtaining the correlation with an output signal of a reception amplifier 19 is extracted, rectified and smoothed to extract signal corresponding to the reception signal level. The signal and an error from the reference signal are fed to a voltage controlled variable gain reception amplifier 19 as a level control signal by a reception signal level control circuit 20 to form a feedback loop thereby making the reception signal level constant. |
