Process and device for the dehydration and purification of liquid hydrocarbons by passing through a filter zone which comprises a layer of absorbent fibres which is arranged and held against a filter wall merely by the motion of the liquid to be treated. This process is particularly useful for the treatment of hydrocarbons employed as fuels in aviation, called jet fuels, the specifications for which are very strict. <IMAGE>
