The burner has a tubular exterior envelope (12) in which a series of intake orifices (13) are made, in communication with the base of the hearth (33). A burner conduit (15) is disposed longitudinally inside the envelope, it has an aientry and an exit, and it defines an annular space (19) with the envelope which communicates with the entry. There is a secondary air entry (17) near the conduit entry. The intake orifices are disposed longitudinally on the top of the envelope and a protection cover (14) is placed above them.
