PURPOSE:To make possible connections with various host computers by storing selection information about whether an input command code from a host computer are to be validated or invalidated, and eliminating automatically a command code which is contradictory to a self-command execution function. CONSTITUTION:A command code and printing data which are entered from an external host device A through an I/O circuit B are once stored in a receiving buffer C, and thereafter are read sequentially to execute the command and at the same time, print out particular characters. In this case, a command execution suspension device E suspends the command from the host computer A, if the command code which is read from the receiving buffer C is invalid, after referring to a command function memory D which previously saves a command using a setting device F, based on selection information about whether such a particular command is to be validated or invalidated per command code. Thus it is possible to make connections with various host computers which provide different command codes and also expand the range of application significantly. |
