The invention relates to chemical catalysts. The block of catalyst forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a catalyst in the form of grains, containing iron oxides, with reinforced activity, an alkali metal aluminate, reinforcing members, and is characterised in that it additionally contains at least one of the following fillers: a dust of catalyst in the form of grains, containing iron oxides, with reinforced activity, whose particles are from 0.01 to 0.5 mu in size, a clayey mineral, a product of heat treatment of a clayey mineral, the contents of these constituents in the said block being the following (mass %): catalyst in the form of grains, containing iron oxides, with reinforced activity 87.0-96.4; alkali metal aluminate 3.0 to 6.0; filler 0.1 to 6.0; reinforcing members 0.5 to 1.0. The invention makes it possible to obtain a block of low hygroscopicity, characterised by a low pressure drop, exhibiting a high compression strength and a high catalytic activity. |
