Fret-saw unit with reciprocating blade carrier

The fret saw unit comprises a blade carrier (14) reciprocated by an eccentric pin (12) which engages a drive element (15) on the carrier and is arranged on a disc (11) rotated by a drive gear (1). This disc is rotatable about a pivot (10) on the gear of which the axis (9) is eccentric (e) to the gear axis (8), rotation being limited to 180 deg. by a stop on the gear engaging a part-circular groove in the discs. The disc at the same time reciprocates a member (21) via an oval ring (20) acting (21',23) on a swivel (25) element (24) to superimpose (23',26) periodic lateral movement on the axial reciprocation of the carrier.
