PURPOSE:To provide a preventive and remedy for gray hair, containing C-AMP and its derivative, effective to activate melanocyte, exhibiting extremely excellent preventive and remedying effect to gray hair and having high safety and stability. CONSTITUTION:C-AMP and its derivative (e.g. adenosine-3',5'-cyclic phosphate, 2'-0-dibutyryladenosine-3',5'-cyclic phosphate, etc.) are used as active component. C-AMP and its derivative are effective to activate the melanocyte which is a melanine-producing cell existing in the hair-bulb of scalp hair-root and to prevent and cure the gray hair. The effect of C-AMP can be improved synergistically by adding one or more compounds selected from theophylline, papaverine and isobutylmethylxanthine. The amount of C-AMP in the agent is preferably 0.001-5wt%. The agent is free from skin irritation and allergenicity. |
